Painting on Silk with Lynn Baritelle
Paint a silk handkerchief and learn basic silk paintings techniques: fabric preparation, gutta, design, painting with dyes, use of salt and alcohol to modify the designs, steam setting of dyes and final finishing of the painted materials. Students will be given information on where to obtain supplies, books, and videos.
Materials fee: $10 for silk, gutta, and dye, $6 optional for painting frame and brush.
